    The Senior Specialist, Master Data Mangement works corroboratively with the Operational MDM Associate Director, and Functional Departmental Managers and Key Users, to manage, coordinate, gather, and update Master Data into the ERP (SAP) System; this Master Data is used to support the maintenance of assigned Operational documents, i.e. Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Routing’s, Quality Specifications, and other related Operational Master Data to support the successful operation of the SAP System.

     

    This position will be considered an expert in executing global and local processes related to Master Data Management, this includes implementing established procedures and responsibilities to maintain and update Operational Master Data to support the cGMP operation of the ERP (SAP) System. These procedures and responsibilities include but are not limited to implementation of new and enhanced Master Data processes and quality metric's which governs performance and enhanced solutions, as well as supports, departmental interaction, requirements gathering, communications, and data entry procedures.

     

    Further the importance of this position regarding managing Master Data, is critical to the success of the Business, with regards to management of Direct and Intermediate Material changes, as well as Finished Good Product Versioning; all of which supports the organizations ability to assure Finished Good and Intermediate product presentations are being manufactured correctly to meet both Regulatory and Customer requirements.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    + Responsible for new item setup, support, and maintenance of existing materials.

    + Ensures synchronization with other database(s), and interface(s) as required.

    + Responsible for Support, Marketing, Supply Planning CMOs, Demand Planning, and US production sites.

    + Point of contact for business questions and problems related to material master data set up.

    + Ensures data supports defined business processes, requirements, and governance standards.

    + Partners with business data owners in Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales functions to ensure data owners have a functional understanding of master data to comply with standards and use master data processes/tools effectively.

    + Conducts root cause analysis to prevent future data quality issues and implements new standards or processes to prevent future data quality issues, including taking necessary corrective action.

    + Analyzes and improves data quality, which includes running regular data audit reports and any special audit reports as define by business unit.

    + Works across departments and interact with IT, business customers, functional partners, and members of the Supply Chain Management team to solve problems and execute strategic initiatives.

    + Represents material master data on new product launch teams.

    + Conducts regular material master data audit, reviews, and reports processes to ensure that the information throughout the network is accurate.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of years of experience in Manufacturing, Inventory Control or Production Activity Control.

    OR

    + Associate’s Degree and six (6) years of years of experience in Manufacturing, Inventory Control or Production Activity Control.

    Or

    + High School diploma/GED with at least ten (10) years of experience in Manufacturing, Inventory Control or Production Activity Control.

    + Strong background in the pharmaceutical/biologics/fine chemicals/FMCG industry, preferably in Cost Accounting, Supply Chain, Bio / Pharm Manufacturing and / or a Quality Assurance role.

    + Six (6) years demonstrated experience with data management practices, data governance concepts and data management tools.

    + Passion for managing information as a corporate resource; recognizes the business value of data.

    + Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional business relationships.

    + Must possess excellent collaboration skills.

    + Strong understanding of ERP systems, SAP highly preferred.

    + Strongly prefer in depth experience in working with complex Bill of Material (BOM) structures i.e. (to support the current interdependencies and multiple levels of the current Biological BOM structures).

    + Strong analytical skills, in terms of both data and process management.

    + Ability to cope with ambiguity and implement structure and clarity.

    + Ability to work well with people at various levels and with different cultural backgrounds.

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, a must.

    + Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio).

    **Eligibility Requirements** :

    + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

    + Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).

    + Must be 18 years of age or older.
