The purpose of the work unit is to provide data support to the Oil and Public Safety programs including finance and budget; the Petroleum Storage
Tank Fund (PSTC; the Petroleum Cleanup and Redevelopment Fund (PCRF); state-lead cleanups of petroleum contaminated sites utilizing Federal
funds and PSTF funds; Amusement Rides and Devices, Explosives, Conveyance and Boiler programs; internal and external communication, including CORA requests; enforcement of statutes and regulations across all programs; and the technology team including data management.
This position serves as a member of the Data and Technology Team, which supports the Division of Oil and Public Safety by implementing and managing the various technology products and data initiatives within the Division; this includes software products such as Salesforce, Conga, Clariti, AppSheet, Google, Microsoft Access, and GIS. Additionally, this position will prioritize and complete user stories, eliciting business and functional requirements, database maintenance, architecture design, basic system maintenance, database and systems support, data report configuration, support training, and documentation. Tangible work products to include:
+ Completing user maintenance, including adding new users, amending existing accounts, checking system permissions on user profiles, and determining and creating data rules.
+ Managing data consumed by AppSheet, Microsoft Access DB, and Salesforce application from source systems via Data Loader, API, etc.
+ Building reports and dashboards that expose the wealth of information from data.
+ Customize and develop application pages and view the user's need (adding picklist values, amending page layouts, creating assignment rules,
and much more)
+ Coordinate and produce technical documentation for the Data and Technology team, as well as training materials such as handouts, release notes, and user-update notifications for technical and non-technical users. Participate in training activities for staff.
+ Testing new code and directing system and user testing
+ Analyzing complex issues and using knowledge gained in formal and informal training or research to resolve issues, configure the system, and make code, flow, or other architectural changes to meet user and business needs while working within department guidelines.
+ Leading, or assisting with, the deployment of new objects and changes to the system, participating in test cases, and package development
+ Suggesting ways for the features and capabilities of the multiple platforms to improve manual or automated processes.
+ Leading semi-annual system updates by following testing procedures within a given sandbox and ensuring the stability of the database for go-live readiness.

Experience Only:
Six (6) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to six (6) years
