Summary You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the Corporate Operations Department (10), ACIO/Information Technology Division (104) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-6 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. Responsibilities You will serve as the Information Technology (IT) Division's Chief, Policy and Governance aligned to the Activity Command Information Officer (ACIO). You will support the ACIO with developing policies and plans and advocating for changes in policy that support organizational cyberspace initiatives or required changes or enhancements. You will analyze and assess policy needs and collaborate with stakeholders to develop policies to govern cyber activities. You will provide policy guidance to cyber management, staff, and users. You will develop and implement policies and procedures for management oversight and planning for IT systems and networks owned and managed by NSWC Crane Division. You will develop and implement policies and governance mechanisms for systems development, test and evaluation, and deployment of voice, video, and data communications facilities to meet telecommunications requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and implementing cyber security policies to mitigate vulnerability of IT programs, systems, or platforms and ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements for an organization. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
