Position Specific Description
This position sits within the Power Generation Division in support of the Net Midstream operations.
Ideal candidates for this position will have experience in remotely operating process plants from a centralized control center.
In addition to the job description below you will also be responsible for the following:
• Monitor and control pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and levels to efficiently achieve desired operating results and ensure proper operation of plant and pipeline assets.
• Coordinate with onsite operations personnel to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of renewable natural gas facilities, landfill gas to energy plants, and pipelines.
• This is a (12 hour) shift position requiring both day and night shifts including weekends and some holiday work
• Ability to work from an alternate Control Center location in the event of an emergency
• Calculate flow volumes to work with interconnect companies on daily nominations
• Maintain appropriate records ( CRM, Controller Training, SCADA, etc.)
• Work on line balances, LAUF, and other pertinent information related to a pipeline controller
• Read and understands P&ID’s
• Schedule routine maintenance on pipelines with schedulers and interconnecting pipeline companies
Job Overview
Employees in this role monitor supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA) to transport and compress natural gas via pipeline, as well as receive and transfer fuels via pipeline in compliance with applicable plans.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Under general supervision:
+ Calculates flow volumes and blend rates
+ Maintain appropriate records
+ Understands local, state and federal oil spill regulations regarding mitigation and cleanup
+ Works as a company liaison with contractors
+ Understands the principles of fluid flows (pipes, pumps, valves, pressures)
+ Reads and understands blueprints
+ Schedules routine maintenance including obtaining parts and equipment as necessary
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
+ High School Grad / GED
+ Experience: 3+ years
