    BA Step 1 $48,007 or MA Step 1 $50,670 per GITA contract

     

    Description of Position

     

    Provide classroom instruction within an elementary level classroom. Create and design lessons aligned to district curriculum and the NYS Next Gen Standards. Become an active member in the school community to support all learners and their families.

    Qualifications/Skills/Abilities Required:

    1. NYS certification Childhood Education 1-6 and/or B-2; or Pre-K-6 is required

    2. Experience with Magnetic Reading, Ready Math and iReady platforms

    3. Possesses deep understanding of instruction in CCLS

    Qualifications/Skills/Abilities Desired:

    Literacy and/or Special Education certifications preferred

     

    Ability to cooperate and collaborate with grade level team, special area teachers

     

    Evidence of academic success at undergraduate and/or graduate level

     

    Strong written and oral communication skills

     

    Strong work ethic; ability to collaborate with team/school/parents

     

    Strong use of technology to support professional responsibilities; ability to integrate technology into instruction

     

    Ability to use data driven instruction to improve student achievement
