    Job Description Summary

    A Lead Print Technician is expected to run the printers, own the execution of standard work implementation, assist in process development, test execution and material qualification/characterization tasks in accordance with lab procedures.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    + Deliver/lead lab printing operations, issue resolution and standard work (Involve reaching out to the subject matter expert for support on issue resolution)

    + Provide clear instruction, document and communicate work product & observations in accordance with work instructions

    + ​Provides direction and oversight to the maintenance personnel during the planning and execution of Preventive Maintenance (PM’s) plans & Repair – (Maintaining facility)

    + Provides oversight and leadership to lab team to ensure calibrations are complete and accurate in accordance with GE Policy

    + Ensure, support and perform work in compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies and regulations including the implementation of updated EHS requirements

    + Responsibility for ensuring area is operating safely and practices and procedures are being followed and maintained (such as Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures)

    + Direct, train and lead the less experienced technicians and specialist through planning and scheduling of lab activities and specific project task to support engineers, team leader etc.

    + Ability to lead interface discussions with external organizations & internal supporting functions to define program schedules and plans that support business needs

    + Identifying issues or problems with equipment, processes, and/or products and providing direction on path forward working with manufacturing process engineers to address.

    + Ability to recognize the need for work plan/lab enhancements as well as prepare and implement supporting work plans to update equipment to enhance lab capabilities

    + Lead, organize and create lab operations standard work for documentation and process improvements

    + Be willing to serve as the Accident Prevention Team Leader (ATPL)

    + Be a FlightDeck/LEAN advocate and drive process improvements

    + Create, Foster and Empower everyone to live the culture of Additive Materials and Processes (AMP) team: SQCD, Customer Focus, and Teaming.

    Required Qualifications

    + Associates degree in an applicable technical discipline (i.e. Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technologies Electronic Technology, Chemical Technology, etc.) and/or a high school diploma (or GED equivalent) and a least 5+ years of work experience in a relevant field

    + Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

    + Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

    + Evidence of experience with additive manufacturing

    + Troubleshooting skills and solution skills

    + Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Demonstrated initiative and desire to learn and lead

    + Experienced computer and/or machine programming skills

    + Demonstrated success in a cross-functional team environment.
