    Position Summary

    The Senior Manager, Learner Resources and Library is responsible for managing academic resources and services within the College that are designed to support learner success. The incumbent will ensure internal and external stakeholders have access and the ability to maximize the utilization of academic resources and services, including the online library, Foundational education, writing and math labs, and other supportive tools. The Senior Manager, Learner Resources and Library leads and influences the development and implementation of the College's long-term goals and plans by translating the vision and mission into actionable strategies that align with the organizational strategies.

     

    *Salary range for this position is between $99,000.00 and $112,000.00 a year

    Essential Function and Responsibilities:

    + Ensures outreach to internal and external stakeholders creates awareness of accessibility and value of academic resources and services to consistently improve engagement initiatives in the library and other academic resources

    + Collaborates cross-functionally to support the development of engaging learning modules in the Learning Management System (LMS) and MyNightingale that help support internal and external stakeholders' utilization of the library and other academic resources

    + Ensures collaborators within the function keep informed of professional and technological developments through participation in a professional organization, workshops, continuing education courses, and reading professional materials

    + Operationalize processes through the creation of SOPs, job aids, and training resources

    + Oversees access and maintenance of the library's licensed digital resources, including tasks related to contracts, implementation, collaborator support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of resources

    + Oversees the operations of writing and math labs, and associated activities to ensure functional performance, learner utilization, and satisfaction

    + Oversees the operations of the foundational learning and resource courses, and associated activities to ensure functional performance and outcomes

    + Oversees the operations of the learner tech center, and associated activities to ensure functional performance, learner utilization, and outcomes

    + Manage and support learner technology, including the integration and utilization of educational tools and platforms.

    + Collaborates in hiring activities including candidate selection, participation in panel interviews, and making hiring decisions

    + Supports collaborators in all aspects of training and development including performance, behaviors, competencies, and alignment

    + Manages resources and assets to ensure budgets are met

    + Gathers and analyzes functional data to accurately reflect functional performance, identify areas of opportunity, and implement interventions to improve functional and strategic outcomes

    + Participates in the successful implementation of other functional projects as they arise

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    + Master's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

    + Demonstrated five years of experience in business operations supporting multi-functional teams is required.

    + Demonstrated experience in coaching, developing, and motivating a team is required.

    + Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

    + Demonstrated familiarity with virtual reference services using chat tools, email, and videoconferencing software is required.

    + Demonstrated experience working in an educational environment with underserved populations is strongly preferred.

    + Demonstrated experience working in the healthcare environment or healthcare industry is strongly preferred.

    + Demonstrated experience utilizing qualitative and quantitative data to drive decision making, operational strategies, and team development is strongly preferred.

    + Demonstrated familiarity with library information technology, systems, products, and delivery technologies in a higher education environment is strongly preferred.

     

    This position is required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The College will pay for all travel and lodging accommodations.
