Summary:
Rotating 12-hour Shifts
Supervises, organizes, and coordinates the clinical and technical aspects of services rendered to ensure the delivery of quality respiratory therapy treatment. Specific duties may include: organizing, facilitating, and prioritizing activities to ensure quality patient care delivery in accordance with hospital, professional, and regulatory standards. Supervises staff providing role modeling, coaching, consoling, mentoring, evaluation, and discipline according to policy and procedures.

Description
1. Utilizes staff resources effectively and efficiently to provide all routine and complex patient care.
2. Documents patient care according to policy.
3. Identifies and implements changes to improve patient care, work settings, and employee/patient satisfaction.
4. Promotes and supports participation in quality improvement and clinical research activities ensuring their beneficial to the department.
5. Completes educational activities to maintain and increase competency for self and recommends education resources and learning activities for staff members. Coaches and mentors more junior level therapists.
6. Maximizes and manages allocated resources to achieve the desired departmental and program results.
7. May maintain in stock supplies and equipment and requests non-stock items from outside vendors practicing cost management.
8. May participate in interdisciplinary committees, initiatives, collaboration and similar groups related to ongoing hospital expansion, remodeling, and similar construction to ensure optimal RCS related patient care needs are met.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
