Responsible for producing impactful models, analyses, reporting, and processes leading to key insights that help drive Marketing decision making. This will include the implementation of marketing spend optimization models, tracking marketing campaign performance, and measuring web performance. Works closely with business stakeholders as the subject matter expert to assist them with advanced analytics strategy and developing relevant, accurate and robust insights. The Manager of Ecommerce Insights & Reporting ensures the wider business is driving incrementality with continuous measurement and identifying gaps in strategy or marketing effectiveness. In addition, manages large scale analytical projects and processes offering quantitative insights and recommendations.
We expect the starting base compensation to be around $115,000 with annual bonus and profit-sharing eligibility. The actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience.
What You’ll Do:
+ Monitor and track marketing activities, benchmarking consistently against organizational targets and prior comps.
+ Deliver actionable insights by identifying market opportunities, competitor threats, and customer needs, while pivoting quickly in response to shifting market dynamics and emerging trends to ensure timely, data-driven decisions.
+ Develop decks and presentations delivering concise messaging that aligns with business objectives and trends, ensuring clarity and actionable insights for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
+ Support Marketing verticals by tackling ad-hoc requests and providing new insights to drive better actions and outcomes.
+ Develop the process of regularly scheduled reporting across marketing for the brands and their impact to the total business; in particular e-commerce impact - identifying goals, tracking pace and areas of risk and opportunities.
+ Lead the production of weekly and monthly performance reports, development of dashboards, consolidation, validation, and maintenance of data.
+ Design and develop analytics approach and data strategies to test marketing effectiveness.
+ Actively support collaborative initiatives with cross functional teams including RM, Sales, Finance, and Operations.
+ Drive the development of evolving marketing tools utilizing best internal and external capabilities for data sharing across all of Hertz’s tech stack.
+ Build analytical models like multi-variate regression and forecasting for customer insights generation.
+ Revenue performance: Define and create an integrated view of revenue performance (backward-looking and forward-looking) across all channels and planning segments for Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty brands.
+ Marketing performance: Collaborate across Marketing, Revenue Management, Sales, and Finance to align on metrics for measuring marketing performance and syndicate across the enterprise.
+ Web analytics globally for Marketing/Ecommerce
+ Develop visualizations for executive audiences and stakeholder consumption of their key initiatives.
+ Identify KPI’s to rate site & product performance.
+ Provide daily reports and analysis on the state of our digital business.
+ Ensure data integrity across the business and that all teams are reporting from the same set of data.
What We’re Looking For:
+ Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent required; preferably in Economics, Marketing, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, or Related Field required. Advanced degrees in fields of study are strongly desired.
+ 5 years of marketing analytics or in a quantitative, data driven field, or performance media is required.
+ Proven expertise with at least one of the following: DataBricks, Google Analytics, Adobe AEP, Amplitude is required.
+ Experience with customer attribution and competitive intelligence a plus
+ Advanced Google Marketing Suite Product Knowledge (e.g., GA360, Campaign Manager 360)
+ Advanced capabilities in Google Cloud Platform required.
+ Advanced capabilities in SQL and experience with stored procedures required.
+ Experience within a complex, customer analytical environment utilizing large data sets
+ Process innovation and development; management via KPIs
+ Experience in managing workflows, coordinating projects, and overseeing the implementation of standard processes
+ Comprehensive understanding of the industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
+ Proficient in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing large datasets to relay actionable competitive insights.
+ Highly cross-functional influencer with communication/storytelling skills at all levels; Can stay organized and show progress on several ongoing initiatives.
+ Demonstrated ability to dig into the “why” of various results and present data driven insights and recommendations
+ Effective organization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
