About the Role: Join a dynamic and business-critical program supporting the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain. We’re looking for a skilled developer with experience in mainframe and Java/WebSphere environments to help maintain, enhance, and support a suite of applications critical to daily operations. This role blends production support with development, offering the opportunity to work across legacy and modern technologies while delivering impactful business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Resolve incidents, provide ongoing maintenance support, and deliver minor enhancements to P&C insurance applications.

+ Modify application code (primarily COBOL, JCL, CICS, and Java) based on business requirements.

+ Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and fellow developers to design, implement, and support scalable and secure solutions.

+ Perform requirements analysis, impact assessments, code development, testing, and deployment activities.

+ Create and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base and documentation of system behavior and updates.

+ Analyze business needs and recommend solutions, balancing benefits and risks.

+ Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and architectural planning.

+ Estimate effort across the software development lifecycle and assist in scoping new projects.

+ Create test plans, test cases, and perform validation, including defect resolution for production fixes.

+ Utilize creativity and innovation to automate and streamline processes.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

+ Strong hands-on experience with CSC PMSC Series III, COBOL, JCL, and CICS.

+ Familiarity with Java and WebSphere environments is highly desirable.

+ Solid understanding of P&C insurance processing and related systems.

+ Experience working in a production support role, with ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.

+ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

+ Ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into technical specifications and deliverables.
