    Advanced Systems Design is seeking a PowerBI/Fabric Architect for our client located in Tallahassee, FL.

     

    This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1.

    Job Overview:

    The PowerBI/Fabric Architect will serve as the enterprise PowerBI Architect with the following duties and responsibilities of this position:

    + Maintain foundational knowledge of the following areas:

    + Metadata management;

    + Master Data Management;

    + Data Governance;

    + Data Analytics.

    + Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements;

    + Interact with business customers regularly to consolidate and analyze requirements and present them the dashboard design results;

    + Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and techniques for collecting, processing, storing, and distributing PowerBI dashboards;

    + Design and develop PowerBI reports and dashboards;

    + Assist in the establishment of an enterprise Center of Excellence for PowerBI;

    + Monitor the utilization of PowerBI, including license mojnitoring;

    + Manage PowerBI users and workspaces;

    + Administer and monitor data gateways;

    + Manage and maintain the PowerBI environment as follows:

    + Troubleshoot technical issues related to PowerBI;

    + Configure data refresh schedules;

    + Administer and maintain full control over organization-wide PowerBI settings and administrative features;

    + Manage and maintain the PowerBI environment, including configuration, security, data policies, and connection references;

    + Connect and manage PowerBI to various data sources, including on-premise and cloud-based data sources;

    + Implement and maintain semantic models to ensure data integrity and performance optimization;

    + Perform data cleansing and transformation tasks (such as, Extract, Transform, Load [ETL]) to prepare data for analysis;

    + Design, develop, deploy, and configure PowerBI reports and dashboards based on business requirements;

    + Provide technical guidance and support to end-users, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of PowerBI solutions;

    + Monitor and optimize PowerBI performance, including capacity planning and server performance;

    + Manage user access and permissions to PowerBI applications and resources, ensuring compliance with security policies;

    + Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of PowerBI solutions;

    + Maintain governance policies, best practices, and security standards for the PowerBI environment;

    + Provide training and share knowledge with colleagues to enable them delivering on reporting needs with PowerBI;

    + Develop and maintain the PowerBI roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and strategic goals;

    + Responsible for providing full lifecycle PowerBI administration (patches, updates, AD security, account management, capacity management, documenting processes) including the ability to work with data owners and report developers to support their needs in the best way possible;

    + Grow and integrate PowerBI services by designing and deploying workspaces, data models, app tiers, gateways, report services, and dashboard support;

    + Configure data gateways for access to multiple data sources across the enterprise;

    + Serve as subject matter expert providing content for user training and self-service instruction;

    + Deliver services and solutions using the Power Platform suite with Azure Integrations;

    + Manage Environments, Configurations, Integrations and Deployments;

    + Manage multiple environments, such as Production, Test and Development;

    + Standardize and optimize the ways data is stored and retrieved;

    + Provide architecture designs, configurations, administration, and functional support;

    + Create and maintain documentation for the environment and solutions;

    + Provide daily production system support and user support; and

    + Provide knowledge transfer to Department staff.

    Required Qualifications:

    + A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with various database management systems in database design, testing, implementation, maintenance and administration in a multiple platform environment.

    + Demonstrable excellent written and verbal English language communication skills;

    + Experience preparing verbal and written status reports;

    + Experience in providing customer/management verbal and written briefings;

    + Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills.

    + PowerBI Related

    + Three (3) or more years of experience building PowerBI dashboards to satisfy business requirements;

    + Experience with the full development cycle of a Data Visualization including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and maintenance of dashboards;

    + Four (4) or more years of experience developing data visualization dashboards;

    + Power Automate and Dynamics 365 experience on the Azure Cloud

    + Expert knowledge of building apps, page layouts, and content types using the O365 API;

    + Experience in developing solutions within Power Platform (Power Apps Portals, Canvas and Model Driven Apps, Power Automate, PowerBI) and Common Data Service;

    + Experience in using multiple OOTB Connectors with PowerApps and Power Automate, and ability to create custom connectors for PowerApps and Microsoft Automate;

    + Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals;

    + Strong Data modeling skills

    + Technical skills: Proficiency in PowerBI Desktop, PowerBI Service, Power Query, DAX and data gateway management.

    + Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts;

    + Analytical skills: Ability to create visually compelling reports and dashboards.

    + Strong problem- solving skills and attention to detail;

    + Communication skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business analysts, end-users, and other stakeholders.

    + NOTE: In addition to the above list, the selected Candidates must successfully complete a Level II Background Check.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Data Visualization and Statistics experience utilizing tools such as PowerBI;

    + Microsoft Power Apps and Azure specific training or certifications;

    + Experience using Data Modeling tools.

    Education:

    + A bachelor’s from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Data Visualization, Communication or a related field, and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain or an associate degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Data Visualization, Interactive Medai, Digital and Graphics Design, Communication or a related field, and three (3) years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain
