A Master Control Operator is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of on-air content.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Monitor and control on-air broadcasts to ensure technical quality, accuracy, and adherence to program schedules.

+ Operate and maintain broadcast equipment, including servers, automation systems, routers, and switchers.

+ Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on broadcast equipment and systems.

+ Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth transitions between programs and timely resolution of any technical issues.

+ Record, log, and report any technical issues or errors during broadcasts.

+ Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and company policies.

+ Participate in training and development programs to maintain technical skills and knowledge of industry trends.

Qualifications:

+ Education and Experience:

+ Some college preferred or prior experience as a master control operator or in a similar technical broadcast role.

Skills:

+ Proficiency in operating and maintaining broadcast equipment and software, including servers, automation systems, routers, and switchers.

+ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments and resolve issues quickly.

+ Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings.
