    Required Skills:

    Production Engineer Responsibilities:

    1. Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software services to ensure optimal performance and capacity for growth.

    2. Own back-end data warehouse services, front-end services like Messenger and Newsfeed, and infrastructure components to ensure services run without incident.

    3. Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug the problems in real time in highly complex software systems.

    4. Serve as an escalation contact for service incidents.

    5. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

    6. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

    7. Find the optimal database layout.

    8. Make sure Machine learning training task run smoothly and efficiently.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    9. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.

    10. Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:

    11. 1. UNIX or Linux operating system fundamentals

    12. 2. TCP/IP network fundamentals

    13. 3. Coding in at least one of the following higher-level programming languages: PHP, Python, C++, or Java

    14. 4. Software frameworks and APIs

    15. 5. Internet service architectures (such as load balancing, LAMP, or CDN’s)

    16. 6. Configuring and maintaining applications using at least one of the following: web servers, load balancers, relational databases, storage systems, or messaging systems

    17. 7. Relational Databases including MySQL

    18. 8. Network protocols including at least one of the following: NFS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, DNS, or SNMP and

    19. 9. Experience utilizing high performance query engines (Presto or Spark) for big data

    Public Compensation:

    $178,360/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
