Koniag IT Systems, LLC** , a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our development team at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. The ideal candidate will be part of a dynamic team developing and maintaining mission-critical applications with a focus on geospatial technologies. This position offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies while solving complex engineering challenges in support of our government clients. **This position requires an active Secret Clearance.

Position Description:
The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex software systems, with a particular emphasis on geospatial applications.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Design and develop robust, scalable software solutions
+ Write high-quality, well-tested code following best practices
+ Integrate GIS components and spatial data into applications
+ Participate in the full software development lifecycle
+ Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance
+ Debug and optimize application performance
+ Create and maintain technical documentation
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams
+ Implement automated testing strategies
+ Support deployment and maintenance of applications
+ Participate in Agile development processes
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
+ 5+ years of software engineering experience
+ Strong background in object-oriented programming
+ Experience with GIS software development
+ Track record of successful software project delivery
Required Skills and Competencies:
_Strong proficiency in:_
+ Java, Python, C++, or similar programming languages
+ Object-oriented design patterns
+ Software architecture principles
+ Version control systems (Git)
+ Database design and SQL
+ RESTful API design and implementation
+ Demonstrated experience with:
+ Geographic Information Systems (GIS), specifically:
+ Commercial Joint Mapping Toolkit (CJMTK)
+ ESRI ArcGIS suite of commercial software developer components
+ ArcGIS Runtime
+ ArcGIS Engine
+ ArcGIS extensions including:
+ 3-D Analyst
+ Geostatistical Analyst
+ Network Analyst
+ Spatial Analyst
+ Tracking Analyst
+ ArcGIS Server
+ Proficiency in:
+ Software testing methodologies
+ CI/CD practices
+ Application security principles
+ Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
+ Experience with Agile development methodologies
+ Must be able to work on-site at Stennis Space Center, MS
