Koniag IT Systems, LLC** , a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Training Specialist to join our dynamic development team at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. The ideal candidate will contribute to the team’s and customer’s training needs focused on geospatial applications and solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects while utilizing modern technologies and best practices. Position Description:
The Training Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that enhance contractor and government performance and development. They will collaborate with various departments to identify learning needs, create effective training materials, and ensure the continuous growth of employees within the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Conduct thorough analyses to identify skill gaps and training requirements across the organization
+ Design and develop engaging training programs, including workshops, seminars, and e-learning modules, tailored to meet organizational needs
+ Facilitate training sessions, both in-person and virtually, ensuring active participation and knowledge retention.
+ Develop and maintain training materials such as manuals, guides, and presentations to support learning objectives
+ Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, testing, and performance metrics, adjusting as necessary
+ Work closely with department heads and subject matter experts to align training initiatives with organizational goals
+ Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance training methodologies and content
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field
+ Minimum of 3-5 years in training and development or a similar role
+ Professional certifications such as CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) or CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) are advantageous
+ Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and e-learning development tools
Required Skills and Competencies:
+ Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
+ Ability to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness using data-driven approaches
+ Skilled in managing multiple training initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful delivery
+ Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate effectively across departments
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
+ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
+ Must be able to work on-site at Stennis Space Center, MS
