Title:

Communications Intern

KBR’s Mission Technology Solutions team is seeking a communications intern to work in Houston, Texas for the summer 2025 intern session. The intern will work in the KBR office in downtown Houston on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and work one additional day remotely for a total of 3 days per week.

KBR’s intern program aims to provide broad exposure to its Mission Technology business though weekly rotations with communications and marketing professionals across all business units. The communications intern will also collaborate on special projects with the marketing intern.

Responsibilities:

+ Communications research and coordination

+ Support creative and communications teams on planning and executing marketing deliverables including digital brochures, social media, press releases, internal communication pieces, videos and advertisements

+ Content development for a range of marketing and communications materials

+ Offer creative ideas for communications and marketing pieces and strategy, in line with business objectives and brand guidelines

+ Assist with planning for upcoming media days

+ Writing, editing and formatting KBR internal communications

+ Developing social media content ideas

+ Assist with writing press releases, digital brochures and other external deliverables

Qualifications:

+ Applicants must have strong writing and content development skills

+ Must be able to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously while collaborating across all business units

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Teams

+ Experience with communications/content development platforms preferred (Staffbase and Foleon specifically)

+ Communications, marketing or related experience or relevant course work
