The Cannabis Expungement Board is hiring multiple Paralegals to play a key role in executing the legal and procedural framework for determining eligibility for expungement of criminal records.
The positions will assist the paralegal supervisors, attorneys, and managing attorneys to collect and manage case records, compile and review case files, and make determinations of eligibility for expungement of a criminal record or for resentencing.
Minimum Qualifications

+ Completion of a formal paralegal or legal assistant program resulting in certification or a degreeOROne (1) year experience in a legal settingORCompletion of a bachelor's degree program
+ Experience managing data with software tools like Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, e-Discovery programs, or other database or case management programs
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are strongly desired of applicants seeking consideration for this position:
+ Experience or demonstrated commitment working with people impacted by the criminal justice system
+ Strong communication skills
+ Experience, education, or training with legal cases, laws, statutes, regulations, court rules, policies, procedures, legal periodicals, and other legal authorities that are relevant to a particular issue
+ Experience reviewing investigative reports, files, and documents for legal cases
+ Experience, education, or training in preparing, editing, and finalizing legal documents, emails, memos, reports, and/or other documents free of errors and in proper format, including but not limited to: Court Notices, Recipient Notices, and general correspondence
+ Experience collaborating with a legal team and external partners to meet business needs
+ Strong organizational skills sufficient to identify and address priorities
