We are looking for a strong candidate who is data centric and has experience as both a Digital/Technical Product Manager and Business Analyst to help us craft the future of Schwab’s Retirement Journey, specifically the Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) experience. The Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) experience provides a simple digital pathway for clients to understand their RMD obligation, receive their RMD status, and take retirement distributions online. In this role you will create an intuitive experience working with a cross-functional delivery team comprised of business stakeholders, user experience, client experience, product, data/analytics, and engineering.

What you’ll do:
The Senior Product Manager will:
+ Become a subject matter expert in retirement distribution and RMDs.
+ Thrive in a fast-paced environment, navigate complex challenges, and deliver consistent results.
+ Quickly get up to speed on the capabilities of the existing product. Develop a deep understanding of the system architecture.
+ Build partnerships and collaborate with cross-functional teams across retirement product, legal/risk/compliance, service/operations, UX design/research, engineering, data/analytics, and digital product.
+ Promote to the product vision and strategy. Support the product vision, align it to business goals, and create a roadmap for execution.
+ Contribute to the product development process across discovery, delivery, and measurement.
+ Drive product discoveryand business analysis, including translating client needs into detailed requirements. Prepare Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), process maps, and use case models
+ Prioritize and manage the product backlog for a backend development team.
+ Support delivery as a product manager in an agile environment. Participate in scrum ceremonies including daily stand-up, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retros.
+ Work with client experience liaisons to define and execute go-to-market strategies.
+ Partner with technical counterparts to define product releases and investigate production issues.
+ Define and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to measure product success.
+ Leverage research and data to gain user insights, inform product decisions, and identify opportunities for product enhancements
What you have
Required Skills and Experience:
+ Product Management: Strong product and business analysis skills. Proven track record across product strategy, discovery, delivery, and measurement. Track record of delivering results through successful digital products.
+ 1-2 years of Schwab technology domain experience as a current or recent contractor or employee
+ Data-Driven Decision Making: Demonstrated ability to instrument products to collect data, leverage user research, and synthesize insights to inform product decisions.
+ Collaboration and Communication: Effective relationship-building skills, ability to collaborate cross-functionally, and strong communication skills to drive alignment.
+ Client Focus: Ability to understand user needs through research and build products that solve real problems. Passion for digital innovation, commitment to superb client experience, and experience with digital client journeys.
+ Agile Development: Experience working in cross-functional scrum teams, prioritizing backlogs, defining requirements, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
+ Technical Proficiency: Experience with digital product development, including understanding how digital products work and how they integrate into the Schwab ecosystem.
+ Financial Services Background: Understanding of financial services regulations, specifically experience around Retirement and Move Money digital experiences at Charles Schwab.
+ Preferred Skills and Experience:
+ Experimentation: Experience with experiment-driven product development, developing and testing hypotheses, and quickly learning from data.
+ Technical Skills: Experience with SQL, writing user stories in Gherkin language, and working in a regulated environment with legal and compliance considerations.
+ Experience with MS Project, Visio, Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, Splunk, A/B Testing platforms.
