    Purpose:

    The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for managing complex tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing strategic tax advice to clients or the organization. Here are some of their key responsibilities: tax preparation and review, tax compliance, tax planning and advisory, audit and interaction with tax authorities, and mentorship and training.

    Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.

    + Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax documents.

    + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.

    + Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations and implement new policies and procedures as needed.

    + Advise clients on tax consequences of business decisions, such as mergers and acquisitions.

    + Identify potential tax savings and recommend strategies to minimize tax liabilities.

    + Interact with tax authorities and handle tax audits and inquiries.

    + Support tax and financial audits at both global and local levels.

    + Train and mentor junior tax accountants and review their work for accuracy.

    + Performs other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

    • 5 years of experience in tax accounting.

    • Experience in managing tax-related projects and teams.

    • Knowledge of MS Office and accounting software.
