Day-to-Day:

A client of Insight Global is looking for 3 ETL Java Developers with automation knowledge to join their data engineering team supporting a migration effort into Azure. This position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line related to claims/policy insurance products. The focus on this role will be to assist in moving data and processes from on premise data center to Azure, assisting with data operational tasks that exist on UNIX, and pushing automation using shell scripting and CRON jobs. The data is currently maintained using an in house tool data refinery written in a language similar to SQL. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure, big data technologies, data engineering, shell scripting for automation, UNIX environments, and Java development. This role is hybrid on-site in the office located in Alpharetta, GA. The pay rate ranges based on years of experience between $50-60/hour,

Skills and Requirements

6+ years of development experience Data & SQL

Software Engineering experience with Java

Java Virtual Machine

Hands on experience on Cloud Technologies Azure

Databricks

PowerBI visualization experience

Ability to work with complex data models.

Big data/large data processing ETL processing

Data cleansing and data operations

Proficiency in Unix & Linux servers

Proficient with bash/shell scripting for automation

-Understanding of how automation works using CRON tabs, how dependency works, and shell scripting

Familiarity of industry best practices code coverage.

Experience working in software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)

Experience working with Git GitLab/GitHub.

Knowledge of test-driven development. Azure certifications
