Job Description

An employer is looking for a Network Engineer to sit at Fort Liberty. This person will be responsible for configuration of switches, firewalls, voice equipment, satellite modems. They will work with the SATCOM Gateway facilities and deployed operators to troubleshoot and resolve SATCOM and IP network issues in addition to remotely provide global equipment configurations at SATCOM Gateways utilizing the Satellite Access Authorization (SAA) and Gateway Access Authorization (GAA). In addition, this person provide technical support for the design, implementation, and integration of network changes and sustainment.

Compensation:

$50/hr to $55/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements

Active Secret Clearance

Bachelors degree and 8+ yrs. of relevant experience or Masters degree with 6+ yrs of prior relevant experience; Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.

Must possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II (SEC+ or equivalent) Certification- can obtain after starting

Must possess CCNA

Experience troubleshooting and configuring IP networks using at least one of the following routing methods: BGP, ISIS or OSPF, Static routing.

Experience with either service provider or enterprise IP networks using an interface on Cisco (ESR and ASR) and/or Juniper routers.

Significant understanding and experience with Satellite Communications (SATCOM) architecture and signal flow.

Significant understanding and experience with the operation/configuration of MILSATCOM encryption devices Master's degree in supply chain management, engineering, cybersecurity, or other technical discipline

Project Management Experience or PMP certification.

Experience with core Systems Engineering Disciplines (Requirements, Schedule, Risk, Readiness, System Closure, etc.)

Certifications in Cybersecurity like CISSP or CASP are strongly preferred. null
