Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our FinTech client's Global Servicing Engineering team in Atlanta! This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving innovation through hands-on development and technical leadership. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the engineering roadmap, influencing architectural decisions, and mentoring junior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, cloud-native solutions and enhance internal servicing tools and portals. This position emphasizes hands-on programming (Java, Golang, JavaScript) and requires deep expertise in modern development practices and technologies, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide strategic technical leadership and contribute to the development of engineering roadmaps and best practices.

-Design and implement scalable, cloud-native applications using Java, JavaScript, Golang, and other modern languages.

-Collaborate with engineering leaders and cross-functional teams to define and execute technology strategies.

-Drive innovation by exploring and integrating emerging technologies such as AI, Blockchain, and advanced cloud services.

-Participate in whiteboarding, brainstorming, and live coding sessions to solve complex technical challenges.

-Serve as a technical advisor and mentor to junior engineers across various teams and verticals.

-Enhance internal servicing tools and portals to improve operational efficiency and user experience.

-Leverage GCP tools (e.g., BigQuery) to optimize data-driven solutions and workflows.

-Support CI/CD and DevOps initiatives to streamline development and deployment processes.

Skills and Requirements

-710+ years of hands-on programming experience, with a strong focus on Java.

-Proficiency in additional languages such as JavaScript and Golang.

-Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly from a data and tools perspective (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Spanner, Bigtable, etc.).

-Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

-Demonstrated adaptability to evolving technologies and shifting priorities.

-Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a passion for continuous learning and innovation. -Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.

-Familiarity with internal tooling and portal development.

-Exposure to AI, Blockchain, or other emerging technologies
