This is an employed civilian Nurse (Fluoroscopy) position that affords job security, a competitive base salary, bonuses, moving expenses, full malpractice coverage, up to 26 days paid vacation, 11 days paid Federal Holidays, a sick leave benefit, CME opportunities, and a first-class health and retirement benefit package.

Named after Medal of Honor recipient, PFC Bryant H. Womack, we are a fully accredited 110-bed, evidenced-based regional medical center and GME facility serving Fort Bragg, the home of Airborne and Special Operations and the largest U.S. Army installation in the world. We manage several outstanding Primary Care practice sites located in Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Linden Oaks.

Womack is located in Fayetteville, Fort Bragg which is 2 hours from the beach and 5 hours from the Appalachian Mountains with easy access to I-95 and all points north and south. This central North Carolina location enjoys seasonably palatable weather year-round. Many facilities and services are offered such as first class golfing venues and renowned universities, a skeet range, riding stables, ice skating rink, state-of-the-art fitness centers, daycare, star-quality dining, full service banking, convenience shop, barbershop, and florist.

Responsibilities

As a Nurse (Fluoroscopy) you will:

+ Assess patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic invasive fluoroscopic procedures with moderate sedation or anesthesia support.

+ Assist with equipment preparation and with prepping patient for exam; work as a Circulating Nurse during exams.

+ Maintain and administer medications according to established policies and procedures.

+ Monitor post-procedure recovery of patients and determines readiness to be transferred to the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) ward or Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

+ Perform various pulmonary ventilation treatments such as administration of oxygen and compressed air through various means.

+ Provide highly specialized professional nursing care services to adult patients who are acutely ill but stable or are characterized by the presence of real or potentially life-threatening health problems in the Fluoroscopy lab.

Qualifications

US Citizen Required

Registered Nurse

Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant.

Active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

All Health Care Providers must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA). Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.

**Exemption:** You are exempt from the basic requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0610 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before.
