Our client, a leading golf products company, is seeking a CNC Programmer / Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Programmer / Machinist, you will be part of the Engineering Technology department supporting R&D and production teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork abilities which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** CNC Programmer / Machinist
**Location:** New Bedford, MA
**Pay Range:** $27.73 – $39.77/hr + 10% shift differential (for second shift)
What’s the Job?
+ Develop and optimize CNC programs using Solidworks, Mastercam, and CIMCO Edit
+ Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes, 5-axis mills, wire EDM, and sinker EDM
+ Perform tooling setup and implement process improvements to reduce cycle times and setup duration
+ Conduct dimensional and visual inspections and adjust programs accordingly
+ Collaborate with QA and R&D to develop CMM inspection programs
What’s Needed?
+ Vocational school graduate in Machine Shop, Tool Technology, or equivalent
+ Minimum 5 years CNC programming experience
+ Minimum 3 years machining experience, including 2+ years CNC machine setup
+ Proficient with blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
+ Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, CMM)
