Minimum Requirements:

- Current GCSD Employee.

- Valid New York State School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS), School Building Leader (SBL), or School Building Administrator (SBA) Certification in Educational Administration. Candidates with prior administrative

experience preferred.

- Proven educational leader who is committed to developing strong relationships and promoting a culture of excellence

for students and staff. Assist in the planning and implementation of the extended school year process/program.

- Experience in dealing with students with challenging behaviors.

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience with the GCSD Extended School Year Program.

- Experience working with the population of Special Education students enrolled in the program.

- Meeting or exceeding standards as determined by the Professional Performance Review Process, or Effective or Highly Effective as determined by the NYSUT rubric.

- Energetic, visionary and collaborative leader.

- Demonstrated leadership in current position.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

- Secure the hiring and placement of all instructional and support staff.

- Assign teachers and support staff to classrooms and students.

- Formulate class lists and develop schedules for specials and lunches.

- Supervise the day today operations of the school and the summer calendar.

- Coordinate with ESY Program Leader to ensure IEP student needs are fully met and staffing is commensurate with

enrolled students.

- Oversees facility maintenance, security, cleaning, and general building appearance as it applies.

- Organize and oversee development of related service provider schedules.

- Assist with initiating programs and providing support for the day today needs of students, teachers, and parents.

- Support classrooms as needed with emergent student specific needs such as behavior, equipment needs, and

transportation.

- Take responsibility for all disciplinary measures necessary for students.

- Providing professional development opportunities for staff.

- Communicating with parents as needed.

- Serve as a liaison to the PPS Department.
