About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Secured Lending Sales Associate (Asset Based Lending Loan Originations Associate) on our Asset Based Lending team supporting the Middle Market Originations team, part of Wells Fargo Capital Finance .
The Secured Lending Sales Associate for asset-based lending will support the Middle Market Originations team with prospecting, pitching, screening, and execution of new loans. This position facilitates the efforts of the loan originations team to evaluate and structure transactions originated by business development officers. This position will be based in Dallas, Texas.
In this role, you will:
+ Lead or participate in sourcing new clients or growing existing relationships in a given product or specialty
+ Understand clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions within the context of individual deals and client relationships
+ Lead moderately complex transactions in partnership with coverage teams for specialty products, including by analyzing potential opportunities, structuring, proposing, and selling tailored financial solutions to clients; lead internal coordination and submit transactions to management or independent risk for approval
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve client issues and achieve business objectives
+ Independently resolve moderately complex issues while leveraging a solid understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
+ Partner with product management functional partners to provide feedback on evolving market needs to enable the innovation, design, and delivery of credit solutions more effectively
+ Contribute to large-scale planning related to a given product or specialty’s business objectives
+ Serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals
Required Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of secured or specialized lending sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of Asset Based Lending experience
+ Understanding of financial modeling and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
+ Working knowledge of Borrowing Base calculations and collateral analysis
+ Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
+ Good PC skills with the aptitude to learn new systems quickly
+ Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
+ Energetic, quick learner, positive attitude, self-motivated
+ Ability to work independently, organizing and managing multiple priorities
