About the Role
CBRE's Energy Procurement Services team, part of the CBRE Energy and Renewables team, specializes in brokering energy (electric power and gas) supply contracts and developing customized energy procurement strategies. Our mission is to simplify the complexity of energy markets, helping clients save money, improve budget accuracy, and reduce emissions.
We are seeking a dynamic and self-led analyst to source and manage energy contracts for commercial and industrial clients. Our team fosters a start-up culture that emphasizes innovation and agility. The analyst will be responsible for analyzing energy markets, managing client and supplier data, supporting contract negotiation, and crafting recommendations for pricing and structuring.
What You’ll Do
Sourcing and Contracting: Supporting supplier management, reviewing and following up on proposals, supporting the contract process, and ensuring contract executions.
Energy Market Analysis: Understanding deregulated and regulated energy markets, including utility tariffs, rate modeling, and risk management.
Pricing and Budgeting: Assist is crafting strategic energy sourcing recommendations to clients and internal management, developing energy budgets, and forecasting analysis.
Supplier Management: Support key supplier relationships, manage supplier data and performance, and ensuring deal compliance.
Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicating complex market data to clients and suppliers, collaborating with energy professionals, and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Data Management: Ensuring accurate record-keeping of contracted opportunities, maintaining databases, and verifying bills.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing standard processes, ensuring metrics, governance, and actions are in place for continuous improvement.
What You’ll Need
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Advanced Excel skills including data manipulation, analysis using pivot tables, advanced formulas, and visualization.
+ Experience in contract management and strategic sourcing.
+ Familiarity with energy markets, utility tariffs, and rate modeling.
+ Demonstrated ability to present pricing recommendations and manage suppliers.
+ Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
+ Advanced Excel skills including data manipulation, analysis using pivot tables, advanced formulas, and visualization preferred.
+ Experience in contract management and strategic sourcing preferred.
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality.
+ Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard and slightly complex problems.
+ Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
+ Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures.

• CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr. Analyst, Deregulated Energy Services position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Analyst, Deregulated Energy Services position is $120,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
