    The Road Service Technician is a Diesel technician who preferably has experience in the heavy equipment industry. This person will be required to have mechanical expertise, including diesel, to support the needs of the branch in a professional, safe, and timely manner. You will be performing maintenance services, including repairs for diesel-run equipment.

     

    Pay Range: $24.77 to $38.85 per hour

    Qualifications

    + Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Road Technician

    + Prior experience with heavy construction or agricultural equipment strongly preferred

    + Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team-oriented environment

    + Exceptional customer service skills with a proven ability to establish and maintain professional relationships

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and professionalism

    + High level of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

    + Proficiency with standard computer applications and diagnostic tools

    + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

    + Ability to safely and independently lift and transport equipment and parts weighing 50–75 pounds

    Responsibilities

    + Provide technical service to equipment.

    + Read job orders

    + Observe and listen to equipment in operation to resolve malfunction issues and execute work procedures effectively.

    + Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.

    + Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.

    + Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly.

    + Tag all warranty parts and return them to the warranty clerk.

    + Attend training classes and keep tabs on factory technical bulletins.

    + Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness.

    + Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by the supervisor.

    + Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.

    + Participate in, and utilize to the best of one’s abilities, technical training as assigned by management.

    + Maintain your designated workspace in an organized and clean manner.

    + Ensure guest vehicles are returned as clean as they were before being serviced.

    + Show the utmost courtesy to all guests, visitors, and dealership personnel.

    + Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.

    + Adhere to the manufacturer’s policies and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time, and repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs and torque specifications.

    + Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and, or management.
