The Procurement Manager will lead all purchasing activities for L2 Aviation, ensuring competitive pricing and the availability of required materials to meet production and delivery schedules. This role includes responsibility for a purchasing team tasked with procuring aviation materials and technology, developing and implementing procurement strategies, and fostering supplier relationships. By leveraging long-term agreements with suppliers, the Procurement Manager will secure best-pricing advantages and favorable contract terms to enhance the company's competitive edge. Primary Responsibilities: Develop sources of supply for aviation and avionics materials and technology. Obtain and maintain current supplier data, including product/service specifications, pricing, and delivery schedules. Lead the supplier selection process, ensuring alignment with the company s quality and cost goals. Negotiate and establish long-term agreements (e.g., Master Orders, Blanket Purchase Agreements) to secure optimal pricing, favorable payment terms, and supplier performance guarantees. Analyze current spend and evaluate current suppliers. Consolidate spend across supply base to create leverage, analyze purchasing trends and develop sourcing alternatives. Identify new high potential suppliers on global basis. Solicit and evaluate supplier quotes, conduct bid evaluations, and negotiate delivery schedules. Ensure materials are procured at the best combination of price, quantity discount, product quality, and terms. Resolve issues related to purchasing, delivery, receiving, and payment by coordinating corrective actions. Monitor current category market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges and opportunities. Develop spend strategies, identify potential suppliers, analyze supplier capabilities, select suppliers and determine prices, terms, and conditions of agreements. Administer supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions. Manage and guide a purchasing team across multiple locations. Ensure the team meets production material needs to support on-time delivery and contract fulfillment. Assist in the professional development and performance review of team members. Other duties as assigned not specifically stated herein. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field (Master s preferred). Minimum 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in the aviation or avionics industry. Proven track record of managing supplier contracts and achieving cost efficiencies. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools. Advanced knowledge of procurement and supply procedures. Required: Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment. Proven ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks within a group environment. Ability to accept direction and additional responsibilities from one or more sources. Ability to work as part of a team. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate in an assertive yet professional, motivating and tactful manner. Must be able to travel infrequently up to 25% of the time with short notice. Ability to work independently and cross-functionally. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Ability to read, write and speak the English language. Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug testing. Must be able to pass TSA/CVG background check to obtain and maintain TSA/CVG badging.
