    Schedule: (Onsite Monday–Wednesday, Remote Thursday–Friday)

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage the daily execution of payroll processes for union employees. This role involves end-to-end payroll processing, data analysis, and compliance with legal and audit standards. The Payroll Specialist will also provide high-level support and resolution for payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and business-unit stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Process weekly union payroll for over 600 employees

    + Create upload files for retirement plan and HSA contributions

    + Enter job, salary, and personal data accurately and timely

    + Maintain and update multiple Excel workbooks used in payroll processing

    + Manage the entry and payment of garnishments

    + Analyze and resolve data discrepancies between the payroll system and employee inquiries

    + Ensure full compliance with audit requirements and internal controls

    + Provide support for employee questions related to personnel records, time input, earnings, deductions, and taxes

    + Safeguard confidentiality, data privacy, and SOX compliance at all times

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Education: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

    + Experience: 3–5 years of payroll processing experience (preferably with end-to-end processing); union payroll experience preferred

    Skills & Competencies:

    + Impeccable attention to detail and data accuracy

    + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Willingness to work overtime as needed

    + Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

    + Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities

    + High level of integrity and trustworthiness, particularly around confidential payroll data
