    Our client is a small but rapidly growing services company dedicated to helping businesses be more energy efficient! Due to their recent growth, they are adding a senior accountant to their team to help with general accounting tasks. They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to assist with various accounting tasks and supporting the Controller in maintaining accurate financial records. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their career in accounting within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

     

    + Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

    + Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.

    + Process accounts payable transactions.

    + Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.

    + Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and reporting.

    + Maintain and update accounting records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.

    + Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects as needed.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    + 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a smaller company, where you've had to be hands on in different areas

    + Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting procedures.

    + Experience working within the construction (or similar) industry

    + Experience working within public accounting is a plus!

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, JD Edwards, Sage Intacct).

    + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.

    + Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    + Willingness to pitch in where you are needed!
