Description

We are offering an immediate contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the healthcare and social assistance industry. This position is based in Fort Worth, Texas, 76107-7277, United States. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of financial tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records, managing budgets, processing invoices, and ensuring tax compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance of accurate financial records, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.

• Monitor and report on grant funding to ensure compliance with grant terms, restrictions, and deadlines.

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of organizational budgets, ensuring alignment with program goals and donor requirements.

• Process invoices, donations, and other payments and ensure timely and accurate receipt of payments and disbursement of funds.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including the preparation of tax-related documentation.

• Assist in the preparation and coordination of external audits, including gathering necessary financial documentation and responding to audit inquiries.

• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws, including tax withholdings and benefits tracking.

• Provide management with regular financial analysis, including cash flow forecasts, expense tracking, and performance comparisons to budgets.

• Maintain and reconcile donor contribution records, ensuring accurate reporting of restricted and unrestricted funds.

• Develop and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard the organization’s assets and ensure the integrity of financial processes

Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience in a Staff Accountant role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Strong knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger.

• Ability to prepare journal entries and conduct month-end close processes.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive manner.
