    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized IP Paralegal to fill a contract position and support our Intellectual Property (IP) department. This role involves assisting with a variety of intellectual property-related tasks, including managing legal processes, maintaining databases, overseeing deadlines, and collaborating closely with inventors and external legal counsel. The ideal candidate should be a proactive, driven individual with prior experience in intellectual property and strong project management skills.

    Responsibilities

    + Program Administration: Administer and oversee the quarterly inventor awards program.

    + Database Management: Maintain patent and trademark databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

    + Global Deadline Management: Docket and monitor deadlines for patent and trademark cases worldwide; generate reports and issue internal reminders as necessary.

    + File Management: Organize incoming and outgoing e-correspondence related to IP matters in a designated file structure.

    + Communication Coordination: Correspond with inventors and outside counsel to manage patent practice formalities, including collecting formal documents.

    + Meeting Support: Prepare meeting agendas, attend meetings, and draft minutes for three quarterly business unit Intellectual Property Committee Meetings.

    + Brand Protection: Monitor and enforce brand protection efforts through monthly trademark watch reviews and social media scanning for imposter accounts.

    + Training Development: Create IP-related and other legal training presentations.

    + Disclosure Management: Intake and docket invention disclosure forms.

    + Fee and Annuity Payments: Manage payment processes for maintenance fees and annuities via CPA Global’s payment system and external counsel.

    + Collaboration: Partner with members of the IP department on projects and initiatives as needed.

    Requirements

    + Minimum of 2 years' experience as an IP paralegal within an in-house legal department or law firm (Source: SG25 US Legal docx).

    + Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

    + Experience in project management and demonstrated ability to deliver quality work within deadlines.

    + Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.

    + Capability to work independently while collaborating well with others.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Source: SG25 US Legal docx).

    + Familiarity or willingness to adapt to IP management software such as IP Manager, Anaqua, or similar tools.

    + Positive, adaptable, and team-oriented attitude.

    Preferred:

    + Additional certifications or training related to intellectual property management
