Description We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team in Cleveland, Ohio. As a key executive, you will oversee the financial and fiscal operations of the organization, ensuring alignment with our mission and long-term objectives. This position offers the opportunity to drive strategic financial planning, safeguard assets, and contribute to the organization's growth and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the President and senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support organizational goals.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring accurate projections and alignment with strategic priorities.
• Analyze financial statements and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency within the finance department.
• Monitor market trends and financial indicators to anticipate risks and opportunities, enabling proactive decision-making.
• Prepare forecasts and long-term financial plans to support operational and capital needs.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and accounting standards, including overseeing audits and reporting requirements.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to protect assets and ensure accurate financial records.
• Provide timely and comprehensive financial reports to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Collaborate with external auditors, government agencies, and funding sources to ensure transparency and compliance. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or CPA designation is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in high-level accounting and 5 years in senior management roles.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit finance, including reimbursement models and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple functions such as accounting, finance, and risk management.
• Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury operations.
• Familiarity with nonprofit or public accounting practices is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
