Description

Our Client is seeking skilled Litigation Paralegal to join it's team in Wilmington, Delaware. This role involves providing comprehensive support for all stages of litigation, including case preparation, document management, and trial assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal procedures, particularly within Delaware Chancery Court, and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Proofread and validate legal briefs, ensuring compliance with Bluebook standards and verifying the accuracy of case law, tables of authority, and tables of content.

• Assemble and organize exhibits for inclusion in brief appendices.

• Handle court filings in federal and state courts, including electronic filings.

• Coordinate service of pleadings to involved parties and manage court filings, including summonses.

• Maintain the case calendar by calculating deadlines in accordance with local, federal, and scheduling rules.

• Prepare materials for hearings and trials, including witness files and trial management tasks.

• Conduct legal research using online tools such as Westlaw and Lexis to gather public records and investigate corporate backgrounds.

• Draft legal documents, including motions, affidavits, notices of depositions, and privilege logs.

• Assist attorneys in reviewing documents for privilege and manage document acquisitions and productions.

• Attend trials and provide on-site support for trial preparation and execution.

Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in a multi-lawyer law firm, with a focus on commercial litigation.

• Proficiency in Delaware Chancery Court practice and familiarity with related legal processes.

• Strong knowledge of legal citation and Bluebook standards.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to perform under pressure and manage deadlines effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and legal databases such as Summation and Concordance.

• Experience with online research tools, including Westlaw, Lexis, PACER, and CourtLink.

• Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field is strongly preferred.
