Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Castroville, California. The ideal candidate will excel in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to key accounting functions while working in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify financial data and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and comply with accounting principles.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with financial reporting standards.

• Assist with month-end close procedures, including reviewing and analyzing financial statements.

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to streamline financial processes.

• Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making and financial planning.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
