Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Augusta, Maine. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy, and supporting financial operations. This position requires on-site work two days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage billing operations to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

• Maintain and update customer records within the accounting system.

• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including payment tracking and reconciliation.

• Respond to inbound calls and address customer inquiries regarding billing matters.

• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve billing workflows.

• Generate detailed financial reports and provide insights on billing trends.

• Support audits by preparing and organizing necessary billing documentation.

• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline billing procedures.

• Adhere to company policies and standards to maintain compliance in financial operations. Requirements • Proven experience in billing or related financial roles.

• Familiarity with accounting software systems and their functionalities.

• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes.

• Excellent communication skills, particularly for handling inbound calls.

• Ability to work accurately and efficiently under deadlines.

• Proficiency in managing billing functions and resolving discrepancies.

• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on maintaining records and documentation.
