Robert Half is partnering with a growing company in Northern Colorado. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller. This role offers room for advancement!
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting, a solid foundation in public accounting, and a strong understanding of lease accounting, fixed assets, and GAAP.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
+ Maintain the general ledger and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
+ Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
+ Manage lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842.
+ Oversee the fixed asset process, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
+ Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
+ Support audits by preparing work papers and responding to auditor requests.
+ Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
+ Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards.
+ Provide mentorship and oversight to junior accounting staff as needed.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, operations, and asset management.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA or CPA track preferred.
+ 4+ years of accounting experience, including 1–2 years in public accounting.
+ Experience in the equipment leasing, finance, or asset-based lending industry is highly desirable.
+ Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 842 lease accounting.
+ Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
