Description We are looking for a meticulous Financial Controller to join our dynamic team in Smithfield, Virginia. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while providing actionable insights to support strategic initiatives. As a key member of the finance department, you will oversee critical accounting functions and contribute to the organization's overall financial health.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct thorough financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for growth.

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collection efforts, to maintain cash flow.

• Oversee cash management activities to optimize liquidity and financial stability.

• Utilize Microsoft Business Central to streamline financial record-keeping and enhance operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights that align with organizational goals.

• Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and applicable regulations.

• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to aid leadership in strategic planning.

• Mentor and guide less experienced accounting staff, fostering adherence to best practices and growth. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven expertise in accounting principles and financial analysis.

• Comprehensive understanding of debits, credits, and cash flow management.

• Proficiency in financial software systems, particularly Microsoft Business Central.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate financial reports.

• Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

• Advanced analytical skills for interpreting complex financial data.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey financial insights effectively.
