• Sr. Tax Accountant

    Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Tax Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves preparing approximately 60-70 state income and local tax returns for an S-Corp structure over a 6–8-week period. The position is fully remote, offering a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to make an impact within a short timeframe.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and file state income and local tax returns for an S-Corp structure, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

    • Collaborate with the internal tax team to gather necessary documentation and resolve any discrepancies.

    • Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx software to efficiently complete tax filings.

    • Review and analyze multi-state tax data to ensure adherence to relevant regulations.

    • Address and resolve any issues identified during the review process, ensuring timely submission of all returns.

    • Maintain organized records and documentation for audit readiness.

    • Communicate effectively with team members to provide updates and address concerns.

    • Stay informed about changes in state and local tax laws that may impact filings.

    • Deliver high-quality results within the designated 6–8-week project timeline. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing S-Corp state income tax filings.

    • Proficiency in preparing multi-state tax returns.

    • Strong knowledge of CCH ProSystem Fx software.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a remote environment.

    • Familiarity with state and local tax regulations.

    • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
