    Description

    As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, manage month-end close, and contribute to strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will bring deep accounting expertise, strong analytical skills, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Month-End Close Management: Oversee and execute month-end and year-end closings, ensuring all financial data is accurate and reported timely.

    + Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP or other applicable standards.

    + Account Reconciliation: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

    + Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development and management of budgets and financial forecasts.

    + Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for annual audits.

    + Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and recommend strategies to optimize workflows.

    + Compliance: Stay updated on new accounting regulations, ensuring policies and practices remain compliant.

    + Team Support & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering professional development.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

    + Experience: Minimum of 3-7 years of progressive accounting experience; prior experience in public accounting or corporate accounting preferred.

    + Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills).

    + Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance.

    + Competencies: Strong analytical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to handle complex financial data.

    + Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships across departments.
