Position Description:
CGI Federal is looking for Security Operations Analyst to support our Security Operations Center based in Knoxville, TN. We provide Incident Management and Intrusion Detection services as a Managed Security Service to both Federal and Commercial clients. Qualified applicants will be on the forefront of incident response where they will utilize the latest in network security technology to provide Computer Network Defense and Information Assurance (IA) support to CGI Federal and its customers.
This position is located in Knoxville,TN.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Monitoring OT systems:
• Continuously monitor OT systems for security breaches and anomalies, using tools like SIEM, EDR, and firewalls.
Threat analysis and incident response:
• Investigate security incidents, analyze threat actors and their methods, and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
Security control implementation:
• Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security controls within the OT environment.
Vulnerability management and risk assessment:
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, perform risk assessments, and identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities within OT systems.
Security architecture and design:
• Contribute to the design and implementation of secure OT architectures, including network segmentation, access controls, and other security measures.
Collaboration and communication:
• Work with Plant Operations, Engineering, and OT vendors to ensure secure implementation and support of OT systems.
Compliance and standards:
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as IEC 62443 and NIST SP 800-82.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Education: Associate Degree Information Security, or related field.
Experience:1-3 years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity or related roles.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of ICS protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC), industrial devices (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, RTUs), and OT security tools.
Experience in Intrusion Detection or Prevention Systems
• Knowledge of: TCP/IP, computer networking, routing and switching
• Experience in Linux/UNIX and Windows based devices at the System Administrator level
• System log forensics (Syslog, Event Viewer)
• Strong troubleshooting, reasoning and problem solving skills
• Team player, excellent communication skills, good time management
• Organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously with attention to processes
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• SIEM experience (ArcSight, QRadar, Splunk)
• Experience using ticketing systems such as Remedy, LanDesk, ServiceNow
• Security +, Network +, CISSP, CEH, GCIA, GCIH, CISM, SPLUNK Training highly valued
• Knowledge of: Strong Authentication, End Point Security, Internet Policy Enforcement, Firewalls, Web Content Filtering, Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
• Knowledge of NIST, PCI, HIPAA
• Experience mentoring colleagues and willingness to be mentored

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,700.00 - $137,100.00.
