Job Summary: The assistant administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility in the absence of or in coordination with the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and in accordance with guidelines established by the Board of Directors and regulatory agencies. The assistant administrator will be precepted by the Administrator and obtain licensure after completing the North Carolina Administrator in Training Program as outlined by the North Carolina Board of Long-Term Care Administrators. The assistant administrator will work in a cross-functional role in various departments of the facility to develop the knowledge, skills, and ability to successfully become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
Qualifications:
+ Graduate of a 4 year accredited college or university and be eligible to apply to the North Carolina Administrator in Training program.
+ Ability to learn to plan, direct, manage, control and lead all aspects of operating a nursing facility including creating a cohesive productive management staff and enabling all staff to provide high quality care to all residents.
+ At least 2-4 years of long-term care experience is preferred.
