Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant. In this role, you will oversee financial operations for property portfolios, ensuring accurate management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. If you have a strong background in property accounting and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, this is the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor cash balances across property portfolios and reconcile bank statements to ensure accurate financial tracking.

• Review accounts payable for the portfolio, recommend vendor payments, and address any payment-related issues.

• Generate tenant charges, manage daily cash receipts, and maintain accurate accounts receivable records through regular monitoring and communication.

• Prepare, analyze, and update journal entries while ensuring the accuracy of monthly general ledger postings.

• Maintain clean and organized property A/R reports by addressing discrepancies and collaborating with team members and clients.

• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.

• Conduct audits of financial records to ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.

• Provide insights and recommendations to improve cash flow management and financial performance.

Requirements • Proficiency in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

• Experience with accounting software systems such as AMSI, AppFolio, or similar platforms.

• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Familiarity with account coding and its application in property accounting.

• Ability to analyze and reconcile bank statements and financial records effectively.

• Previous experience in financial auditing and compliance is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
