Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in nonprofit accounting and government contracting. As part of our organization, you will play a key role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of nonprofit accounting, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.

• Ensure adherence to government contracting regulations, including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200).

• Develop and implement indirect cost rate methodologies to optimize organizational efficiency.

• Utilize nonprofit accounting software to streamline financial processes and reporting.

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll functions.

• Perform audits and ensure accuracy in financial records and statements.

• Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

• Leverage Office365 tools and applications to enhance productivity and data management.

• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices to improve financial operations.

• Train and mentor accounting staff to ensure high performance and growth. Requirements • Proven experience in nonprofit accounting and financial management.

• Familiarity with government contracting regulations, including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200).

• Strong understanding of indirect cost rate methodologies.

• Proficiency in nonprofit accounting software systems.

• Advanced skills in Office365 applications and other accounting tools.

• In-depth knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and auditing processes.

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

• Ability to lead and collaborate with teams effectively.
