Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Redwood City, California. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting the organization's overall financial health. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee cash handling processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.

• Evaluate and interpret financial performance for internal and external reporting needs.

• Maintain and monitor monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheet activities.

• Create detailed financial forecasts and budgets, identifying potential risks and opportunities.

• Review and analyze transactions within the general ledger and balance sheet.

• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciliation issues.

• Prepare and distribute financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.

• Implement inventory and cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency.

• Administer payroll functions and support human resources-related accounting tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong expertise in performing bank reconciliations and general ledger reviews.

• Demonstrated ability to create and post journal entries accurately.

• Experience in handling month-end close procedures.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
