Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-focused Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing invoices, handling intercompany billing, and maintaining accurate records of inventory and payments.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and process incoming invoices through the Accounts Payable mailbox, ensuring timely review and handling.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices, confirming proper approvals and supporting documentation before posting.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing invoice details.
• Record invoices in the system promptly and maintain a tracking spreadsheet for inventory-related transactions.
• Reconcile variances between purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Enter received products into the system upon delivery confirmation and create packing slips for inventory tracking.
• Generate intercompany invoices in accordance with established procedures and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist with preparing and executing payment runs while adhering to company policies and payment terms.
• Support various ad-hoc financial tasks to ensure smooth operations within the accounts payable department. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in processing invoices, coding, and performing check runs.
• Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial or ERP systems like IQMS.
• Ability to reconcile discrepancies and manage large amounts of transactional data.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
• Knowledge of international vendor invoicing and intercompany billing processes is a plus.
