Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can efficiently manage payroll processes for a large workforce across multiple states. Ideal candidates will have strong expertise in payroll systems and compliance with union and tax requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Process weekly payroll for 400-500 hourly employees across multiple states and bi-monthly payroll for 50 salaried employees.
• Collaborate with a third-party provider to ensure accurate and timely payroll tax processing.
• Handle union filings and coordinate with 25 trade unions across various states.
• Maintain compliance with multi-state payroll tax regulations and union agreements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries and issues.
• Utilize payroll software such as ADP Workforce Now and Foundation Software to manage payroll operations.
• Ensure accurate reporting and auditing of payroll data using tools like Crystal Reports.
• Administer employee benefits, including 401k contributions, in alignment with company policies.
• Conduct regular reviews of payroll processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure accuracy. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll administration, including multi-state payroll processing.
• Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or Foundation Software.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax compliance and union agreements.
• Familiarity with reporting tools like Crystal Reports for auditing and data analysis.
• Ability to manage payroll for a large workforce independently.
• Knowledge of employee benefits administration, including 401k plans.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with unions and employees.
