    *_Position Summary:_*

     

    Responsible for providing routine and emergency cardiopulmonary care modalities to inpatients and outpatients of all ages based on physician orders and established protocols.

     

    *_Training and Continued Education_*

     

    Opportunities for further education and training are available to our employees.

     

    *_Minimum Education_*

    * Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy required.

    * Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required.

    * Obtained or registry eligible for RRT certification through the NBRC.

    * Through education, experience, and/or training the individual is qualified to work with neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient and demonstrates competency in performance of each essential job function.

    *_Required Licenses_*

    * Current RT license required.

    * BLS required.

    * ACLS preferred.

    * PALS preferred.

    * ASLS preferred.
