POSITION
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and leading a local water/wastewater civil engineering group to help expand our local service offerings to municipalities. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for growing market presence, developing a local team, and serving as the project manager to champion and lead the planning and design of various water/wastewater engineering project opportunities . Project types focus on piping, water intake, treatment, pumping, storage, and distribution, and wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment. Additionally, the Engineering Project Manager will focus on business development, client services, and growing a team of professional design engineers to support project work. These responsibilities include:
+ Consults and collaborates with municipal water/wastewater clients to consult and grasp project vision.
+ Oversee and lead the engineering project lifecycle from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
+ Prepares plans, specifications, costs, and estimates for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities.
+ Utilize engineering design software for reviewing and editing design plans and modeling.
+ Leads and completes engineering design project tasks from start to finish, supporting client services managers.
+ Meets and consults with client members and provides routine progress reporting.
+ Monitors construction progress and p rovides construction engineering support and on-site observation.
+ Manage construction administration tasks, including submittal and Request For Information (RFI) review, progress payment review, compliance with funding agency provisions, and oversight of onsite construction project representative staff.
+ Evaluate quality assurance and quality controls on project work within the team.
+ Consult with clients to a nalyze water/wastewater facilities for system deficiencies regarding compliance with local, state, and federal standards and regulations and provide improvement alternatives to meet compliance with such regulations.
+ Engages with community members, government officials, and other stakeholders to communicate project goals, address concerns, and gather input on water and wastewater initiatives.
+ Partners with the regional director and operations manager to identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and expanding market presence.

YOUR STRENGTHS
+ Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering or equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program
+ Minimum of 8+ years of US-based civil engineering w ater/wastewater design and construction experience required
+ At least two years (2) experience serving as a project manager on civil engineering water/wastewater projects
+ Proven growth mindset to develop teams and grow new business required
+ Engineer-In-Training (EIT) professional designation required
+ Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or able to obtain after-hire
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in conjunction with engineering licensure is preferred but is not required
+ Engineering design software experience in Civil 3D or similar
+ Experienced with hydraulic modeling software or similar
+ Knowledge of engineering planning studies
+ Strong communication, both verbal and written
+ A valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record is required for periodic travel
